Who I am
I'm a software engineer from Blantyre, Malawi. Most of my time goes to the server side — designing APIs, tuning databases, and making sure the systems behind a product hold up under real use.
Right now I'm at Valuations Africa, moving a legacy React codebase to Next.js and TypeScript — the kind of migration that only works if you care about the architecture and the details at the same time. Before that I built a Go backend at NNDI where a Redis caching layer cut database latency by 45%.
I like work that can be measured: faster pages, fewer failures, cleaner deploys. When something is slow or fragile, I want to know exactly why.
